The B1G:
Penn State
Ohio State
Oregon
(Illinois, then Michigan, close out the top five.

The SEC:
Texas
Georgia
Alabama
LSU
(UofSC and Florida round out the top five.)

Big 12:
Baylor
Iowa State
Utah
(I don't see four or five in the conversation; much less two of the top three.)

ACC:
Clemson
Miami
SMU
(I don't see four or five in the conversation; maybe two of the top three but I don't think Beck or Jennings has it for a two loss season, or better.)

In order here's who I see with the invitations...with a few questions as to "who goes here?"

  • Texas
  • UGA
  • Bama
  • A&M
  • Ohio State
  • Oregon
  • Penn State
  • Clemson
  • Baylor

I don't trust Baylor: but the media does in this thread.

Who are your other P4's and the G5 invite?

Total shot in the dark: I really have no idea!

Texas tech
Boise state
Michigan / Indiana

Tulane could make some waves (pun intended). The problem with their schedule is that they have Duke ole miss back to back. If they could sneak up on ole miss and pull that off (which I doubt), they’ll be in the conversation

I've followed this guy for two, maybe three seasons now. He offers some statisitical outlooks during the season I enjoy following. IF we take his latest projections, it has TTU in as well as Boise State.

Then we're left with all the 8-4's. Miami in over LSU because they'd play in the ACCCG? BUT, that might give them five losses versus four with Ole Miss, LSU, Michigan, SMU, and UT with A&M sitting quietly (whom I like.)

We knew about TTU but SMU? Nah.

TTU is trying to do what Texas A and M were doing few years ago and Michigan... It never bodes well.... TTU gonna find out hard way

SMU had plenty of stories last year about their NIL funding. They are absolutely putting something together...

Sorry, didn't read down after your initial message to see @TerryP commented, but yeah, they are circling the wagon.

The one thing I can't shake about the number of B1G teams. I do believe the three mentioned are the three we'll see.

But Illinois?

Tell me I'm wrong that the Illini are this year's version of Indiana (look at their schedule,) but with a better ball club.
