🏈 When will Mark pass out of wild elephant

If you believe the man himself (Mark Ingram) then the answer is never. He said in an interview early this season that they had tried it in practice and it didn't work out too well so they have abandoned the idea. I believe they have a play where GMac goes in motion, takes a hand-off from Ingram, and throws, but Ingram himself just doesn't have the passing skills to be successful throwing.

If he threw it today. sure it would give future opponents something to think about, but would it be more successful if he threw it for the first time against them. I am thinking you will see it for the first time in the NCS against Texas. Texas is going to be more geared up to stop our run than anybody enough that they may play man the whole game. Julio's guy may stay with him but Maze's guy will bite on the run.

Plus we got a month to put it in before the NCS.

Don't laugh. It will happen. that is what cody has asked all year. I think Saban will do that for him for all the hard work that Cody has given him the last 2 years.

Cody was 420 lbs and anywhere else wouldn't have gotten the support and motivation to get where he is now. Cody owes Saban for getting him healthy and in shape and maybe a millionare this time next year. Saban owes Cody 1 run for becoming that man he new he could become.

As effective as Mark is running the ball, I can't imagine that him throwing the ball would yield any better results. But I guess it's possible and I like that we have so many options.

Remember when our only option was Darby off-tackle?

i think it will happen at least 2 times in the SECCG. it is too difficult to defend. the next time we see it may not be at the goal line however. i think it would be a great play to use when we're backed up deep in our own territory.

i haven't said much about it on here, but i believe that Alabama has an Ace in the hole so to speak with the wildcat. we used it when we had to this year against a very good defense in the middle of the season (USC i think) and pounded it down their throats and scored to seal the game. i expect Alabama to attempt to establish the run using the wildcat and its associated plays (i.e. handoff to TR and/or reverse to maze/julio). Bama is going to pull out all the stops against Florida.

Also, any of you that are expecting ball control and field position game plan against Fla do not be surprised when we come out slinging the ball. especially once we are at or near fla's 40 yd line. i expect that fla's corner will cover Julio well, but i don't think fla. will be able to cover Maze or Peek very well.

we cannot punt repeatedly in this game and win. we must get at least field goals when we stall. a big day for Tiffin is a must.
