That was a good breakdown of the play. Now you know what it's like for the scout team. One of the worst arse chewings I ever received was in a practice my freshman year on the 89 team. I read the chart and we ran the play. The problem was I threw it to the "open" man instead of the intended receiver. One of the defensive assistants chewed on me pretty good saying "throw the ball to the man with the $@&^ing red arrow." I coached high school for 13 years and I vented alot of times because the scout team couldn't give the D the look that was needed.

another point.. i haven't heard anyone really argue about our red zone defense stastically.. the real idea here is how short passing attacks are lethal in the middleof the field, but are alot easier to defend when the field is shortened in the redzone.. there is no deep threat so the DB's are concentrated.. texas' lack of running game would only make it that much easier.. with a team like texas yardage does not always equal out to points.. my personal analysis is this.. bama is the best and all others suck..

My wife is a nurse of 20 years and we found it so odd the Colt was walking out of the locker room and used his arm that he had no feeling at all in to wipe his face. I watched the game again lastnight and he is using his right arm just fine to put on his headset. he hugs mark ingram with both arms after the game and just about everytime the cameras showed Colt throughout the game he appears fine! WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT YOU ASK?! In Colt's interview after the game he told the reporter that he had no feeling in his arm and that it felt like he had been asleep and awoke to his arm asleep! we've all had that happen and there is no way you could hold a drink put on headphones whip both sides of your face and you can see that his arm and hand are moving fine. go back and watch colt coming out of the locker room using his injured and dead arm..then go through the game and watch how he's using both hands in a normal fashion and it does make you wonder if the article is true. after watching the tape again and seeing the blank stare while sitting on the turf right after "THE BEAST" hit him so hard that I really believe that was enough for him...Colt knew from that hit that he was in bad trouble facing the BAMA DEFENSE and I also think he had never been hit so hard and thats when he decided, NO MAS, NO MAS! NO MORE NO MORE...MAYBE HE WAS concerned about
baMA ruining his legacy if he had a really horrific game. Leaving the game with an injury doesn't hurt his legacy one bit..in fact it convinces the texas fans their greastest player of all time was robbed! We will never know what was truly going on in Colt's mind, I do know that even if he had stayed in the game BAMA would have abused him all night and he had no chance of winning the game.

what baffles me is that of all the articles i have read about this game, not one writer has used the "real mccoy" title inorder to add satire to his article.. such an obvious cliche' and such a perfect time to use it..
