Standing in the line to pee at the old Tide and Tiger bar was always a challenge....as soon as you left the stall then time to get another beer and get back in the line again. How about earlier? You been around awhile
Most of my SEC away game odysseys started with coach Bryant in the wishbone. Living about 30 minutes from Legion Field gave me an opportunity to see home games with the Tide back to Terry Davis and Johnny Musso on a regular basis. I remember being in Legion field a little earlier though for the Bama vs Ole Miss with Archie Manning and Scott Hunter. That was the year we moved from Huntsville to the B'ham area. So life got a lot easier, football wise. My first bowl was the first Sugarbowl played in the Superdome in 74 when Richard Todd and Bama played Penn State.
