| FTBL What player has exceeded expectations so far this year?

John Parker Wilson. He's done a better than expected job of playing smart, not forcing things and protecting the ball. I have to admit that at the start of the season I was a little skeptical.

I have to say JPW. He's showing poise in the pocket that we haven't seen since Barker. He makes smart decisions and has played very consistently. I have been very impressed.

I expected JPW to have a good year, and the key part to his success has been McElwain.

Have to tip my hat to all the outstanding freshman this season. Sure I knew they would be great but to perform at the level they have been playing, I would be a liar to say I expected it.

I'm going to go a little unconventional and say Eryk Anders. He's not even really a starter, but he has been great about getting after the QB...I for one did not expect to see him anywhere but Special Teams. Pass rush was one of the huge question marks in my mind to begin the season, and is still one of my concerns...but without Anders our pass rush would be hurting.

Im gonna go with the entire team.. No doubt we are talented and still have young guys playing but I am really impressed with the transition from last year to this year. Call it "buying into the system" or just getting more experience but I love it.. RTR!

Glenn Coffee for 1 he had me hoping Ingram was great because I wasn't excited about our returing RB's Coffee stepped up.

The biggest suprise for me is Javier Arenas at CB. I didn't know he could play like that. Talk about a great open feild tackler. WOW

This is the right answer IMO. No attitudes, no show boats, just a great team effort. No matter what happens from this point forward I am totally and satisfied with this team, its coaches and the athletic department. ITS GREAT TO BE FROM ALABAMA!

Ehh, to say the whole team is basically saying you didn't think we had ANY quality players. Rolando should have been expected by everyone to play great, same with Smitty, Caldwell, Rashad, Walker and McCall IMO.

Saying the "whole team" could be fair considering I don't know of anyone who thought we'd be undefeated, and winning in this manner, before the season started.

I can see where it could be interpreted that way, but my point was the entire team has exceeded my expectations and IMO singling out individuals would be giving those few that I singled out more credit to the success of the team overall than it being a team effort.

With nothing against the team as a whole..

JPW - He hasn't exceeded my expectations, but has played much better than in year's past. I don't think he still is playing at his full potential, but if him trying to achieve his full potential results in poor business decisions I'll take the play he is giving.

Cody - Well, I thought when we signed him that he was to big and slow to contribute like he has. Boy was I wrong.

All of the contributing freshmen - I believe Coach Bryant said you could expect a loss for every freshman that you start. Well we don't have that many games left and therefore I would say all of them as a group have exceeded my expectations simply based on Coach Bryant's statement and team results. Individually, I don't feel any have yet played up to their full potential and that is a positive thing for our future.
