| FTBL What player has exceeded expectations so far this year?

Mark Ingram, I know he was good but didnt expect him to step up and be a big play kind of guy so soon.

And Cody, I know he was big but didnt think he would competely stop the run up the middle like he does.

Well, I was pretty confident a long time ago that Hightower and Ingram would have big impacts early on. I'd have to say Arenas at CB has been my biggest surprise. Woodall as well, kinda figured the Red Barron would haved passed him up by now.

Exactly my thoughts as well.

Justin Woodall.

I had doubts he'd be able to hold on to his starting position through the first 4 games of this season.

Done stole my answer.

Woodall is a great example of a player that has found his potential under Saban's (and Smart's) coaching. He has always had the physical tools, just needed to get there mentally... i.e. needed some good coaching. He would not be nearly the player he is today if he was still playing under the old staff. The same can be said for several others as well.

Porter would call it an afternoon, go grab a roast beef sandwich or two, and then head home for nap time.

Woodall - for the same reasons everyone else said

Ingram - for the same reasons everyone else said

John Parker Wilson - say what you want, but he is a better QB than he was last year. I didnt expect him to be all that improved this year but he is. His improvement is all mental.

Julio Jones - With all that hype, I didnt expect him to live up to it. He has.

Can I vote for the entire team they have already exceeded my expectations for the entire year. Since JPW will be gone we need a qb to step up big time so I expected this two years from now they are two years ahead of my expectations

Reamer doesn't play the same spot that Upshaw plays. That would be Fanney. Jack linebacker. I'm actually surprised that Upshaw passed up Watkins so quickly. Although him being able to put on weight probably helped. Watkins has really struggled to bulk up.
