these are from another forum of which i'm a member. the main focus isn't sports, but there is a sports section with a bunch of people there and a LOT of college football fans. this is what some of them are saying for the past couple/few days.

(put in spoiler tags since it's a bit long)
(about the semifinal between clemson and osu)
Wow, I didn't expect this kind of dominating performance against Ohio State tonight. Can't say I'm not happy about it though. Clemson is making the ACC proud tonight. I hope they can replicate this against Bama in the championship game too.

Lane Kiffin is officially done as Offensive Coordinator. Steve Sarkisian will run the offense in the National Championship.

Now, I can safely settle on my Clemson pick.

It doesn't matter. Lane Kiffin didn't make Alabama the juggernaut is, Nick Saban did. Kiffin is just a so-so coordinator. I'd be surprised if his ouster makes any difference at all.

same UCF fan (and he really wants clemson to win)
Hate to say it but I'm not seeing Clemson winning this. I'll say Alabama 31, Clemson 20. This may be Saban's best team yet. I think Clemson calls short again.

Don't want either to win, but I picked Clemson.

I keep waffling back and forth. Alabama is the better team, but they have some distractions which is very unusual for a Saban team.

Not sure who I'm going to take in the title game yet. I'm heading to Vegas Sunday so I'll definitely be betting on the game and watching it at a sportsbook. I'm leaning towards the over right now as it's at 51 and last year's game had 85 points, but Alabama's defense appears better this year while the offense is worse so I'm not certain. I'd like to take Alabama at the spread but I'm worried about a backdoor cover where Clemson scores a late fairly meaningless touchdown like last year.

Ready for the Clemson Tigers to win on Monday!

I would love to see Clemson roll the tide.

talking about the spread and the over/under
Bet the house on it. I don't see it going over. Hard to believe that happens with Bama's sh!t offense.

so i guess some don't give us much of a chance.

not that i care, i just thought it was curious what others are saying. it's funny how much respect our offense isn't getting and how it seems they think our offense will be the reason we lose and that the O can't get it done against that awesome clemson defense. they're good, but anyone would've looked good against that ohio st offense. i said all along, not on here, but irl, that penn st deserved to be in that game over ohio st. i think it would've been a much better and much closer game.

but i just wanted to share with y'all what others have been saying the past week or so. make of it what you will. i know where your allegiance lies.

Big write up today in USATODAY entitled, "If you have SEC pride, stop rooting for Alabama." As I recall, during the entire broadcast of the weekly ESPN Playoff poll, the 3 other teams being considered had mostly to do with who has the best chance of beating Bama. Not their actual worthiness of being one of the top four, but how do they stack up to Bama. They even spent time lamenting the unfortunate circumstances of Lousiville not getting the opportunity to face Bama just because of their dynamic dual threat QB who they feel would give Bama fits.

We are the betting favorite. We are the defending champs. We have dominated college football like no other with 4 championships in 7 years. If anyone thinks Bama fatigue was strong a few years ago, we are way past what opposing fans and biased media people could possibly root for. And I'm loving every single moment of the greatest run in college football history. And a big ROLL TIDE to one and all!!!
