I can read I know what you ask. It was a misinformed question. Bama fans I know do not compare everything to the Saban Era, we do not have to. Knowledgeable Bama fans know that Bama normal looks like excellence and has for a looooong time.

From a logical standpoint, 'excellence' is a subjective descriptor, not a metric. If we look at the historical record—excluding the Saban years—Alabama has had plenty of 7- and 8-win seasons over the last 40 years.

Are you suggesting that those seasons met the 'Bama Standard,' or were those years outliers? If they were outliers, then your definition of 'normal' is actually 'peak performance.' If 10+ wins is the only result you accept as 'normal,' you aren't describing a tradition; you're describing an ultimatum

Normal to me? A well coached team, smart players, who don't beat themselves, clean players who play by the rules and respect their opponents. Who work as hard in the classroom as on the field. A team that draws respect from their opponents and will know they have been in knock down drag out battle after Every game let the chips fall where they may.
