🏈 What Do You Think About McElroy?

What do you guys thing from what you have seen and heard? I have been looking at his throws and how he looks while he is in the game and how he holds himself on the sidelines. Last year he was 8 for 11 for 123 yards, a TD, and a pick (16 for 20 196 yards, 2 TDs and a pick in 2 years) While he was on the sidelines you always see him giving all 100% of his attention to the game. He was always talking to JPW when he had the chance and always talked to other players after they made a mistake or made big palys. He seams like a guy that will be a good leader. Plus the throws i have seen him make have been good. The TD to maze in the iron bowl was right on the money, he hit maze right over the shoulder. I think we are gonna be good at QB this year what do you guys think?

Health will be the key I believe. Greg may have the opportunity to break several single season records but then again, CNS may not totally alter our offensive persona of being a truly smash mouth team.

I am so :hyper: now that he is finally getting to play. Two years ago on another forum a poster asked thoughts on who would play at the next level. When I said McElroy, I got a lot of :lol: and :rofl:. I think I am going to get the last laugh.

I agree that we are built, and being built, to be a smash-mouth team. One of Saban's strengths is his ability/willingness to adjust his scheme/strategy to what his players can do best. However, quiet frankly, a major reason for our lack of a consistent passing game was our inability to hit the check down option and a lack of accuracy. We left an embarrassing number of passing plays on the field. G Mac appears to have better accuracy and field awareness, which should enable us to have a better air attack. If your QB is accurate and takes what the defense gives him you don't need a ton of passing attempts to throw it effectively.

I think Greg's performance at the Manning camp opened a lot of eyes.

I can't emphasize this enough.....I am VERY happy JPW graduated. We have no where to go but up in QB play and it will show this year when we get to see better passes and better decisions....:asave your 12-0 comments. Even the players can hardly contain their opinions on this also and it shows when you ask them about it.):a:
