🏈 What did you expect?

I would add though I have been impressed with our tight end ,to be a new starter he has come into his own heck he is playing better than our 2 or 3 year starters

Special teams almost cost Bama several games last year as well....it has been a soft spot and surprised that it has not been exposed sooner this season.

Hey 'chop, good post and a lot of good followup posts as well.

We all knew there would be a lot of question marks coming into the season with our secondary and some of our fears have been realized but I really didn't anticipate any issues with our line and LB's but they have been very unproductive. Why the hell we chose not to be in punt safe during the fake is simply mind boggling. I mean, we were the 3rd team that Lester made his beyotch on fakes.

The thing that continues to blow me away is our poor play on offense and the play calling is borderline atrocious. The wildcat has turned more into a mildcat and has been rendered impotent and Vlachos is suddenly seeming to struggle. Ingram and Richardson are getting mauled as blockers in the backfield and I honestly think Maze does a better job even though he had a penalty called on him yesterday.

The good thing is, we are still recruiting well and BAMA is not going away. I look forward to better times ahead.

the secondary is so very lost.

the D-line needs better players or more from the ones we have.

the number of rushing attempts for Alabama is the biggest difference in the yards per game i think. they're not getting enough opportunities.

our offensive coaches love to pass the ball at the most ridiculous times.

i have no clue why half of what is happening at Alabama is, but i do think it has to be addressed soon or we're looking at a win against ga state to round out the season and maybe a trip to shreveport.

We had a bnch of 3 stars last year that contributed....most thought we would reload those 3 stars with 5 stars and be even better or at least as good since they were young.

I look back now to the Bama undecover (or what ever it was called) series...i remember seeing those 5 stars sitting in meetings slouched down in their chairs and you could tell by the looks on their faces that they didnt care about what was being said. It's that same attitude i saw then thats holding them back now. We have a lot of talent but they have the thug, premadonna attitude thats hard to get through to. So yeah we could say it's the coaches fault because they havent gotten thru to the kids...but...remember all the screaming and yelling saban was doing in thoes TV shows...he was doing it for a reason. and it still aint sunk in thru their tallented, thick heads.

A few weeks ago i saw a similar show on Miss state and mullen walked in to the meetin room and the first thing he said was sit up tall....telling his players quit your slouching and pay attention. i think it all starts their...stitting up tall and paying attention shows respect and if you cant get them to show respect in the class it aint gonna happen on the field either.

ramble ramble ramble :frown:

What I saw, as far as problems:

1) We had a week off, and that was the best gameplan we could muster? We have the two best running-backs in the nation. USE THEM!

2) Our atrocious play calling does not allow ANYONE on offense to get into a rhythm. Running the ball up the middle does not work when your center is getting his ass handed to him play after play, just as in the SC game. Pitch it to the freaking outside!! When we do DECIDE to run, it's more like tip-toeing. I brought attention to this in the South Carolina game. They are too comfortable in their roles. There is no competition between them now that they are "splitting" the starting role. Put someone in that is hungry!!!

3) Special teams got outcoached by the hatter. SAD. They obviously waited for us to go into the block formation. They PLANNED this during their week off. We obviously planned more of the same crap we've continuosly gotten worse at as the season progresses.

4) Defense: Our defensive backs need to shut their f*%@# mouths and play football. I noticed this early on, and it has gotten progressively worse. At no time last year were we in the business of talking crap. These young punks think they are good based on last year's defensive accomplishments. Guess what!? YOU are not GOOD enough to run your mouths against anyone. Not to mention, good players let their play speak for itself.

5) We lack defensive leadership. Hightower is not cutting the mustard as leader if he is running his mouth. I have never seen Barron talk trash in 10 years of watching him play and knowing him. He knows its not right, and he was not taught to play that way. If you want to talk sh*%, Mark, BE A LEADER. He and Hightower should be running this defense (along with Dareus).

I could go on and on, but the simple fact is that these trash-talking wanna-be's need a reality check. They obviously read their own press early on in the season as the favorites to repeat. Well, guess what. You haven't done CRAP!

I think it's all because they were their headsets and don't give us fans so much as a crumb at Walk of Champions. I'm not serious, but there's so much wrong right now may as well add that to my complaints again.
