I'm not a "congratulations" kind of guy to the teams I want to beat. I will shake hands say "good game", but I'm just walking away. I feel Tide fans pain with kickers as a Sooner fan whose team has 5 kickers on scholly which means OU has no kickers. But damn Alabama had this game won. Fun game tho for fans of great defense.
As for my Sooners, a big win is always nice, but Ryan Broyles is done at Oklahoma with a torn ACL. I just hope and pray he can get some NFL team to give him a chance to recover like Willis McGahee from Miami U. did some years ago. Broyles had a rough upbringing, but overcame it and turned out to be one of the best kids to be called a student-athlete. Most of you know he is a captain of the team and was a finalist for the Biletnikoff award last season and was going to be this season as well. Many Sooner hearts are broken tonight for Ryan Broyles. Lots of lingering injuries for key players on OU's squad this year.
And to top it off, we just had a 5.2 earthquake that literally shook my house and sounded like a roll of heavy thunder that lasted almost a minute. And the epicenter was 45 minutes away by car. Lots of fun!
Sorry about the loss Tide fans. I know you guys are a very proud bunch and understand what it means to compete, lose, and win in big time college football with class. Thats why so many Oklahoma fans respect you all.
