šŸˆ Were you surprised Auburn played Oklahoma so tough?

Auburn definitely has some weapons. I would expect them to win a game or two that they aren’t expected to win, but this season is still going to be a tough one for them. I would expect them to lose to TAM today.

I think I’m more surprised we’re starting a thread on an Auburn game a week after the game was played lol

I wasn't surprised by their game last week... they are prey stout up front and at LB and Dukin is a damn good coordinator... he was who Saban was set to hire to replace Steele before he pulled the ripcord on coaching career and retired... so Freeze scooped him up. The real irony there is both of those guys were people Saban wanted to hire over the years, now both are at auburn.

Anyway, auburn's issue is they got a very average QB out of the portal... they have good RB's and great WR's, but the OL has been a disappointment, and Jackson Arnold is letting it get into his head. Holding the ball too long, afraid to make some throws, off the mark on others... it's about like Simpson was at FSU only worse. And it's starting to snowball on him. They have 4 more games that will be tough to win, and best I can see is them going 2-2 in them... UGA, Mizzou, @ Vandy, and Alabama.

Before the games started Thursday there were 15 teams who hadn't thrown an INT this season (FBS and FCS.) 12 of those teams were P4 teams. Auburn, and Arnold, were one of those 12 and they still haven't had an INT on the season. With their record this fall that is one outlier; a weird one.

When you have an AD making public statements about your last game, 48 hours before your next game ...

Is it safe to say OU beat AU, twice?

Durkin would have killed to be on Saban's staff. (Wait a minute, he already did....)

This is just me, and I understand I don't know shit. DJ Durkin is real good DC and I respect his game caller style, but I wouldn't give defense lot of credit though. They're playing Georgia next and it's going to define their season. I saw what Freeze said last night about the offense and man, he didn't hold back on them. He went nuclear on their ass. If they lose again next week, then what? So no. I'm not impressed with Auburn defense. I want to see what they can do next week before we can discuss any of that.

IMO, the Barn defense had them with a realistic shot to be undefeated headed into their bye week this week. Their offense, OL, and their 3 ā€œplay-callersā€ on the other hand are why they are where they are. 16-17 sacks, OL play and Arnold holding the ball too long along with 20+ penalties and Freeze just wanting to force that square peg into a round hole on offense is a thing of beauty!!

The statement they put out was some of the dumbest shit I've seen in a long time, but if you saw the game yesterday, you saw that it achieved it's intended purpose. OU couldn't fart on the sidelines without getting flagged.

I wouldn't call it an elite defense by any stretch, but it's good enough that they are keeping them in games right now.

@Krimson and I were talking about that during the game. At the time UT vs State had four just before the half; that game had 15, I was watching two games at the time and both, by half, had 30 accepted.

Hell Brandon! I agreed with Pollack yesterday! šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø He posted on X how it's just bad all around this year: more so than the past. Pate did one of his "cuts" on the same subject two weeks ago I believe.

-- On another note: You know I'm quick to ditch the audio on games. Now, imagine how confusing that can be when I'm trying to figure out what's going on with a flag. šŸ™ƒ
