Pac 12 is hideous rick. WS/Stanford was hard to watch, so I went to bed.

On the other hand, the Huskies don't look like they have an opponent who can play with much of a heartbeat this season.

Petersen is a very good coach, here's his last 3 recruiting cycles at Washington:

This might have been discussed at an earlier time, but if you are usc, texas, notre dame, oklahoma or lsu and you decide to make a coaching change ( I don't see lsu keeping ed o. but you never know) do you even attempt to go after art briles at the end of this season or the season after next, or do you think he will have to take a smaller school job and work his way back? Would it be too soon for a major school to go after Petrino?

I won't speculate on Briles, but with Petrino that's a fiscal decision. I believe his buyout for 'Ville is in the 10 million range and then you're adding 3-5 million for his first year salary?

As example, with LSU, Miles buyout is at least 8 million and could be as high as 12.9. IF we take the 8 million figure, combine that with the 'Ville buyout, plus first year salary? Geez, that's a 20 million plus figure just to change the head coach.
