I don't think a one-loss ND gets in with their schedule and no 13th game. They need to keep it perfect and even then they won't be matched up against another Vandy SEC team in the playoff. We're talking Manti Te'o beatdown here.

If that were played today on a neutral site we'd be looking at Notre Dame giving five or six to USC (based on today's Sagarin rankings.)

Chip Kelly may end up being the poster child for head coaches that college defenses caught up to. I think overall this is true with all spread concepts, slowly but surely. But Chip is like the father of the high octane, super fast model of the spread. The kind that gas your own defense by the end of the 3rd quarter. Gus couldn't sustain it at the barn and Chip is starting to come off as the same one trick pony.

When we were talking about him in fall camp do you remember the mention of his closed camps/practices? It was a bit of a culture shock evidently. I want to say Feldman put something out about the deal. The biggest question I had then, what is he hiding, or rather trying to hide?
