Bright lights can be disorienting. Saban is always talking about anxiety causing players not to perform at optimum level. Perhaps the Cardinals when into this game with more the mindset not to lose it as opposed to invoking their will. I'm sure they didn't take Houston for granted with the slight they felt coming from the polls. Were they not also beat by Houston last year? It's more likely that it's November and anxiety can be a bummer and a burden.
@TUSKstuff Fumbles and what-not are on Perino. He doesn't allow his D to hit in practice which takes its toll on his offense. Been that way since he's been a HC.

I've told anyone that would listen, that Petrino has a history of laying an egg at some point in a season when he seems to have a really good team. That is his MO. He did it at Arky. He would run out to 5-0 or 6-0, be ranked really high and they would bump their gums how this was their year to take out BAMA. Then we would proceed to curb stomp them and they would fall back to Earth.

A piece of useless trivia information mentioned by @bamaledge : gameday hosts features 3 alumni from the top 3 ranked teams. Rece = Bama, Kirk = tosu & Desmond = michigan. Honorable mention = Corso coached at loueyville.
Like to think I have a little football knowledge, with that said, ain't no way in hell the product I am seeing on the field that is tOSU against a really bad Mich. St. team is the #2 ranked team in the nation. MSU running back has 7 carries for 97 yards, oh hell naw.

No doubt, from what I've seen they only have 3 plays on offense, read option keeper, read option give to the RB, read option pass, throw it up and pray.
