So if Washington goes 11-1 and then wins the Pac12 championship game they're not worthy of the CFP in 2021 because they lost their first game? It's too early to identify who qualifies and who doesn't.

Always possible that they wind up in the playoffs with it only being 4 teams if this is their only loss for the rest of the year. Especially true if they start beating the hell out of teams. Do I think it will happen? Nope, but it is possible. And I don't even want a playoff past 4-6 teams (although I do support requiring every team in the playoff to be in a conference).

I would have to say No. If Alabama lost to Montana there would be zero slack given from pundits around the country. They didn't lose to Stanford or Washington State, they lost to Montana. To me, 11-1 and Pac-12 Champs would only mean the whole conference is garbage.

Don't sell the Griz short, they are a very good group of 5 team. Do I think UW still deserves a shot at the playoffs? Depends on what kind of record all the other Power 5 schools do this season and where UW ends up in the PAC 12.
