💬 W Golf: NCAA Regionals: Tide Advances to 11th consecutive NCAA Championships

fourth place. Five strokes ahead of fifth place

For those that don't follow ...

Top six from the regionals advance. 15 strokes, like the lead Northwestern has over Bama, can disappear within a day. Difficult, but doable. I hate 7th place is dropping only 10 shots.

Must be having an off tourney
Yesterday it wasn't that bad when looked at as a team score; only one bad hole out of the five playing (a double.) The highest round was four over; two of those with one being dropped for the four person total.
Figured they would have some home course advantage at Shoal.
Putting for dough, right?

If this were at Ol Colony, I'd say they'd have an advantage. That's largely due to teams like Northwestern having to putt on Bermuda green. Those at Shoal are P-2 Bent...same thing these girls from NW are used to putting on.

Wind has been the buzzword of the two rounds. Golf is as much mental as it is physical. Wind affects all of them the same physically. But if wind effected the girls from Northwestern mentally they wouldn't be there.

it is fitting that a team from the Windy City is winning this thing.

Today is the final round. Tournaments are 3 rounds until the National Championship. Then it is five; three rounds of stroke play, and two rounds of match play with the two finalists.
