some of this was talked about a month or two ago about VaTech's Offensive Line. this is based on projected starters as well.

The left side of the Hokie line will be the strength with Render and Wang the most experienced members of the unit. The right side has 11 collective starts compared to the 63 on the left side.

The match up for the Hokies that might cause some concern is Beau Warren at center versus Alabama's Terrance Cody. Warren will be at a 75lb to 80lb weight disadvantage. Warren has one start under his belt, but I don't believe he's had an experience that can prepare him for dealing with the massive Cody. The Hokies will almost certainly have to double team the Tide's mountainous nose tackle.

1. their safety #17 is probably the best defensive player on the team.

2. their foofy haired CB macho something is pretty good too, but that was pass interference on that almost pick play.

3. their O-line struggles blocking cincinnati. doesn't look good for them going up against Alabama's front seven.

4. the VT passing game is a non-factor except when Tire Rod is scrambling. that's not going to be a lot of yards in this contest.

5. their stats from last year do show that they run the ball well, but a lot of that is from the scrambling QB and their best RB who is out for the season. one of their backups insists on doing things "his way" instead of what the coaches want. that could be a problem in the 2nd quarter when your team has 42 total yards.

6. VTs defense has good hussle and will be a challenge for a revamped tide offense. that's why this will be a good game.

- VT has a chance in this game if Alabama's O-line has a tough time blocking especially in the middle of the line.
