All position coaches are equally important, but offensive line coaches are first among equals.

No other position coach is typically responsible for as many players on the field as the O-line's five, and no other position has other units' success wholly dependent upon their performance.

Riley, Day, Kiffin -- the great offensive architects of their time can draw up an impressive playbook, but their blueprints are nothing more than lines on a piece of paper without the brick-and-mortar that the O-line coach provides. This clip underscores that reality.

As you'll see below, Texas's Kyle Flood is the highest-paid coach who coaches offensive linemen, but Ohio State's Justin Frye and Michigan State's Chris Kaplovic are the highest-paid offensive line coaches.
