🏈 Utah.....

I wasn't terribly surprised with that loss. A first-year QB playing his first real road game in one of the loudest stadiums in the country, and it showed...especially in the first half. I'm still not sold on Cain (dude can't throw downfield worth a lick), but I'll reserve judgement to see if/how he improves this year. Honestly though, I'm not all that dissapointed. We played one of the worst games I've seen in a long time, and were still in a position to pull that one out at the end. I think most Ute fans were predicting 2-3 losses this year, and this was one of them.

We all knew the 16-game win streak had to end sometime. It's just been so damn long since it's happened (our last loss was in 2007) that I forgot how much it sucks! :(

Same here. Just shows you though how one year and one class can change things.

That's one of the biggest differences between programs like Utah and Bama. When we lose the conference POY at QB, our entire receiving corps, 3 NFL picks on defense (including 2 corners), the best kicker/punter in the nation, and both our offensive and defensive coordinators, we simply don't have the horses to reload the way you guys can. But don't worry, we're on the "every 4 years" plan with the BCS. We'll be back again in 2012. :)

BTW, nice win for you guys today. Good luck against Arkansas next week!

No doubt man. I was really pulling for Utah. I have said it before and will say it again; I want nothing to do with those bad boys anymore. I am sorry y'all lost man.

My whole comment about the one year changing thing was in no way a slight. I am 32 and have suffered through years of Bama mediocrity followed by one year here and there of winning. It was always just enough to break my heart.

I hope Utah continues to do well in the long run man.

I mean that.

No worries man, I didn't take it as a slight at all...sorry if I came across as a bit defensive. It's funny how the losses feel a bit more painful once you've had that taste of success, which is something relatively new for this program. Thankfully, our even our "down" years over the last decade or so haven't been too bad (7-5 or 8-4'ish).

Besides, seeing BYU get throttled by FSU tonight took some of the sting away. Especially since they've been talking "national championship" non-stop since they squeaked by a crippled Oklahoma in the opener. :)

I'm not sure if BYU is that bad or FSU is that good, but that was a whooping. Utah losing kind of shocked me after watching Oregon against Boise St.

Boise St won't lose this year they don't play nobody.

And of course USC losing.... is always good.

I guess they won't talking National Title for BYU anymore. Granny Holtz today said that Clausen of ND is the best QB in the country and that ND had the best offensive and defensive lines in the country. For being so superior to everybody they sure did barely beat MSU.
