What happens on a Utah forum doesn't have a freakin' thing to do with what happens here.

If one of their fans say something there you don't like, as long as they don't bring it over here it's all good.

The same applies to Bama fans...if you see something you don't like over there don't bring it here.

Great, a whole month of sly and underhanded comments about our team here while constantly being bombarded with a link to one of the worst boards I have ever had the misfortune of visiting.

Do you know who Urban Meyer is? No, I don't know who he is Utefan, why don't you tell me and then watch me get jumped on when I get just as sarcastic as you.

I can see it coming now.

I am still just really surprised that all these Ute fans are talking trash/crashing Bama sites when the teams for the bowls have not even been selected yet.

For goodness sakes, we should all know in an hour or so for sure who we are playing.

By then there will be 10 or 20 new Utah fans registered here...

The we can start hearing from Ohio St. fans how "inbred" we all are.

Don't be insultin' my aunt mama now, ya hear?

Look now, your brother-uncle got all up into my daddy-cousin's face so your aunt-mama was fair game to be sure. Plus, I don't like the look she gave me with her third eye!
...not to mention the clap...

What kind of OLine you guys got? How do you think they will matchup against Bama's front 7? in particular, against Terrence cody.

The O-line started the season as a big question mark, but have really gelled over the last half. We've been able to keep everyone we've played in check (including the MWC's Defensive POY, Jerry Hughes), but haven't played against anyone like Cody. That's going to be a key matchup, as our QB can pick teams apart when he has time, but tends to struggle somewhat with pressure.

Funny side note: When we were watching the game last night, Cody came on the screen and my wife (yes, just one) said, "There is no possible way a human being should be that large!".

I don't get it either, RolltideinKY. I mean, one of their main posts so far, on this board, is about us being elitists.
Dude, that's because we ARE elitist. We deserve to be just like the Texas, USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan (current edition excluded), UF fans.
CtrlAltieDel said:
Not exactly wanting to have normal conversations with your possible opponent, if you ask me. In that same post, the Ute fan makes some sarcastic remark asking us if we remember Urban Meyer?
Yeah I kindly reminded them that he was the coach who bolted for a Big Time program at his first opportunity. Is that so hard to do?

That was a troll, yet it was allowed to stay here for some reason.
What do you want to do? Ban all the Ute fans? i dont mind talking to them as long as they are cordial. My skin is think enough to stand a little weak troll-fu.

I just hope the 'Bama fans here are shown respect and not attacked for responding, in kind, to posts that probably shouldn't be here in the first place.
You need to not take offence so easily. Even if they come in here and talk smack, you dont have to back. And if their board is so bad, just dont go there. Who cares what they say on their board?

 Good hell, how big was he?

He's lost weight...over 420 was his highest reported weight. He was reported at 395 by the scouts last season. He's playing at 365 now.

It's amazing he moves as quickly as he does for his size. That joker is going to get PAID when he plays on Sunday's...that size, that power.

FWIW, it wasn't so much a diet either...it was all about eating habits more so than what he was eating.

yeah tell your center good luck. Also tell your entire defensive line good luck with none of them topping over 270 lbs I am interested to see how Utah expects to stop the run. Maybe stack 11 in the box. :D

The d-line yes is undersized, but it is well coached. Size doesn't mean a thing versus speed and technique.

That's nice to think...

But, against a power running game that runs between the tackles most of the time it's going to be strength vs strength, man on man.

Part of that equation does involve technique...but no matter the technique used if a lineman can push you out of the way because he's bigger and stronger than you are that technique isn't such a deciding factor.

Speed? That's something I'll look at when I review your game tapes over the next few days. The one area I will concentrate on is your DE's. But, that said, our OT's are very, very quick in their own right.

Thats what Clemson thought. But hey if it makes you feel better believe that. Speed and technique don't help when you they are pounding right at you it only helps when getting to the edge. But i am sure Utah has a guy on the end that is so awesome that even Andre Smith has never seen anything like it. if your not sure who Andre Smith is you may want to google 2009 NFL Draft top 5.

So, what you are saying, is the red-bolded statement earlier was directed at me?

No, not that particular statement within my post. That statement was a reference to a Ute poster who asked 'Bama fans if we knew who Urban Meyer was, he was the guy who just beat us.

The post was a response to you though. It was in hope that smart a##ed Ute fans will not get the benefit of the doubt on this board for the next month while regulars are told to shut up or leave.

You know the drill, Terry. Rival fans gently and persistently antagonizing 'Bama fans, never quite stepping over the line. Always being just pissy enough to get a 'Bama fan to go off on one of them and then the 'Bama fan being banned, corrected, chastised, etc... for having no "class".

Kind of like now and earlier today and last night five minutes after a heart breaking defeat. Ute fans storming the board asking us for respect, demanding respect, asking us if we know who Urban Meyer is, telling us if we had not lost we would not have to play them, but we did, we did lose, etc...

Regulars here then jump on them for being provocative and basically asking for it and then moderators swoop down on the 'Bama fan.

I just really hope that isn't how things are going to play out for the next month. What I honestly believe the problem is is that they aren't used to normal boards.

Their board is literally a smack talk board, the whole thing is. Their normal board is a smack talk board.

I don't necessarily hold that against them, it is just that it is beginning to seem as if they believe all boards are designed that way.

That doesn't have anything to do with my original post Altie.

A quick look at Utah.

We run a spread offense. Our major playmakers on offense are quarterback BRAIN Johnson, the Matt Asiata/Darrel Mack combo at RB, and a strong crop of receivers including Brent Casteel and Freddie Brown.

You will see a lot of trick plays which range anywhere from the wildcat formation to using backup qb (and second fastest athlete on the team) Corbin Louks in qb draw situations.

Our defense blitzes a lot and lb Paul Kruger is the star of the defense. Our main weakness is our secondary and star db Sean Smith (#4) will do a lot of trash talking. (He does usually back it up) Brice Mcain is probably the match-up to exploit in the secondary especially if you want to go deep.

We have a top five kicker in Louie Sakoda. He NEVER misses inside 45 yards.

I have watched a lot of Bama football this season, but I would love to hear a breakdown of your team.

First off, welcome to the board...I look forward to getting to know more about your team in the next couple of weeks, and hope you guys will also drop by the tailgate forum here to exchange some recipes with us.

Secondly, I figured your quarterback was a good one, but his name is BRAIN Johnson? :D

He must be one smart guy then LOL
