🏈 Update: Kiffin to FAU (Bama OC through playoffs)

I'm sure it should be taken with a bucket of salt, but Booger McFarland said on the radio Friday that he's certain Kiffin won't be back regardless of whatever opportunities may present themselves (or not). He said the relationship has run its course and he won't be at Bama next year no matter what.

So I need an informative update here. Jobs are being limited by a slew of new hires, so what are Kiffin's options? So many have reported he will not be at Alabama next year. With my analysis it's starting to look like us or LSU. Is LSU a 100% take if Kiffin wants to go there? Is Alabama 100% not having him back?

So I need an informative update here.
If the hire (rehire) of Lance didn't teach us something , I don't know what will. Add Steele's return and a number of staff moves ... a lot assume to know what Saban is thinking ...when they don't.

In my eyes it's like recruiting ... it'll work itself out in time.

No doubt. Saban is a prideful dude, but that pride is more about winning than his personal feelings. Probably a big part of the reason he's the best.

From Footballscoop:

FAU: As we reported last night, sources tell FootballScoop that Tim Drevno, Michigan’s offensive coordinator, is a candidate for the FAU head coaching vacancy. Last night we also heard that Lane Kiffin might have come back into the fold. We’re told an announcement could come in the next day or two.

I wonder, if the rumor of Sark falling off the wagon is actually true, if Kiff takes Sark with him. That's probably the reason I'm hearing rumblings of Helfrich.

If Sark stays and Saban names him OC, then we know the Sark backsliding rumor is FALSE. But if we see someone brought in as an additional "offensive consultant" for bowl prep (ie, Helfrich), then we know drunk Sark rumors are true.

In all honesty, I truly wish him luck there. I am certain this is a stepping stone move in his mind and if he does well that will pan out. My more immediate concern is does Sark remain as our OC next season?
