🏈 Update: Kiffin to FAU (Bama OC through playoffs)

In all honesty, I truly wish him luck there. I am certain this is a stepping stone move in his mind and if he does well that will pan out. My more immediate concern is does Sark remain as our OC next season?

Well, if the rumor of Sark showing up to a team function drunk is true, then I doubt seriously Saban would extend the job to him.

In that instance, I would almost bet that Sark goes with Kiff.

The telling hint would be if Saban brings in an offensive consultant for bowl prep. I've been hearing a few folks talking about Helfrich after doubts about Sark started swirling.

Bad first few weeks for O on the bayou. He lost Allen and Moses out of BR, when they desperately need LBs, QB Brennan is now looking around because O went shopping at Tua's house and now Narcisse the other 4* QB de-committed today citing offensive instability as the reason. On top of it all comes the Kiffin bad news. But even before this announcement, it started looking to the Cajuns like he would rather be a high school HC then be OC at LSU.

First, I want to wish CLK the best of luck as he embarks on this new adventure in his life.
Second, I want to thank him for his 3 years at Alabama.
Third, I hope he has learned to be a head coach in the time he has been with CNS and the other members of the Tide staff.
Fourth, Roll Tide!

I'm sure that there are underlining issues and maybe Lane really did want another chance at being a head coach, but in my eyes it's kind of like dumping a 10 because she wants to wait until she is married, and then hooking up with a 2 just because she has no reservations.

I'm in agreement with a few others here...I think it's a good move for him because it gives him a chance to prove he's learned something under much, much smaller spotlight but I gotta believe taking the job at FAU had as much to do with his relationship with Saban running its course as anything else.
