Look at Cecil's timeline...Mike Griffith retweet...and there are Vol fans talking about the possibility.I have seen that ut is interested in him again. Anybody else thread his?
I see your point but I could see Houston offering. That worked out well last time hiring an OC.
Agree. I think Houston would be a perfect spot to get the luster back. Cupboard's not bare and expectations will be manageable. Do a good job and he'll be able to name his next job.
If Coach O can get a HC job at a top 10 school....so should Kiffen.
After getting fired on the tarmac? I don't see that...no chance in hell.USC maybe as...its USC and ........friends..house...beach....and USC always recruits well.
1. Did he not also have a previous "working relationship with Orgeon?1.And why would Sark leave for LSU when he will have just been offered the OC job at Bama?
2. Why do you think Sark was brought in to begin with?
3. Saban knew Kiffin would likely get a head coaching offer this off-season. Kiffin knows it as well.
As an aside, it wouldn't surprise me a bit to see Kiffin end up as HC at Oregon.
The one "connection" I have at USC tells me there is a lot of hate between those two.1. Did he not also have a previous "working relationship with Orgeon?

You also have to balance that with there's a lot of hatred towards Sark from the USC fan base as wellAs dirty as this makes me feel, I hope it is true.

1. Did he not also have a previous "working relationship with Orgeon?
2. was the LSU opportunity present during the previous off season?
3. While we as Bama fans may see working for CNS at Alabama as the greatest coaching job ever, maybe not all in that actual field see it the same.
I'm not saying that this is even probable ( see the word 'hypothetical' in my previous post) but to think it's not even possible is ignorant to the point of asinine.

I am puzzled by the speculation, near expectation, that Lane Kiffin will leave Alabama for LSU.
One, Kiffin is the offensive coordinator for the best team in the country with a freshman phenomenon at quarterback who will get better as his game matures. Why would Kiffin leave what could be a historic run of success with Nick Saban and Jalen Hurts for a lesser job with a lesser coach, lesser talent and likely only a small bump in pay?
Second, why would Kiffin go work for the guy he hired not once but twice, and who replaced him at USC?
Coaches have egos and Iād be willing to bet that Kiffinās is as big as they come. Iād also be willing to bet even more that Kiffin takes this speculation of him working for Orgeron as an insult given the fact some (me) believe LSU settled on āCoach Oā when they could have landed numerous better coaches, including Kiffin.
The LSU offensive coordinator job would be a step down for Kiffin. The only way I see him leaving Alabama is to become a head coach again, which now doesnāt seem likely this offseason.

The more surprising discussion in all of this is that many fans and media feel as though the transition from Kiffin to current Alabama āoffensive analystā Steve Sarkisian as offensive coordinator would be a seamless one for Alabama if it needed to do so.
Letās not forget that Sarkisian was fired from USC because of a drinking problem. Iām not saying he isnāt well enough to coach, but none of us know how he would handle the pressure of Nick Saban grilling him on the sideline and the scrutiny that comes from calling plays for the Crimson Tide.
More important, we donāt know if Sarkisian would have the same success. Kiffinās hire was controversial. Two appearances in the College Football Playoff, one national championship and the development of quarterbacks Jake Coker, Blake Sims and Hurts has erased any doubts about his ability. In hindsight, an argument could be made that Saban needed Kiffin almost as much as Kiffin needed Saban.
If Kiffin decides to leave, Alabama fans shouldnāt fool themselves into thinking the transition will necessarily be as smooth as the one on defense from Kirby Smart ti Jeremy Pruitt. Kiffin will be incredibly hard to replace.
I donāt see Kiffin leaving. Not unless Oregon gives him a call to become its coach.

Our second half offensive scheme against the barn was basically run left > roll out, short dump pass right.
It's not rocket science.
