Maybe I'm missing something obvious here, but what's with the triangle? Is there any significance to the shape/styling?

My favorite is the one from the 2012 win over Notre Dame:

Yep, looks like the new stadium as stated. Kind of weak with only one triangle. Wish they would have dug in a little deeper and added something like a peach, diamond, or something along those lines.
