Update...49ers Reuben Foster talks about offseason court case (suspended 2 games)

Woooooow, John Lynch may have pulled a masterful move with his comments the other day. "Hey babe, we both lose if you testify against me. Say it never happened and I'll keep you close when them checks keep coming in. I get kicked out, your money is capped. I keep playing, we can have more money and live like kings."

"She was extremely upset and told him if he broke up with her, she would 'trash his career,'" Rickard said.

That right there is freaking maddening, because that's exactly what she probably did (regardless if its true or not). His career and reputation is absolutely trashed. I mean I would think that the cops/DA HAD to have something more than her word to press charges, I mean she claimed that he punched her in the face. If a 240 pound man punches a woman in the face there would be some signs. IDK what to believe at this point but this is exactly why I kept saying maybe we should hear all of the facts before certain people started to crucify the guy, too.

Lesson here, wait for facts before jumping to conclusion.

Mentioning the gun initially was the first hint here. She did it to increase the severity of the charges. The gun as far as we know had nothing to do with any of this. But she felt it was important enough to mention. That's cold...

She tried to recant initially, the DA figured she wasn't gonna cooperate, and the DA was going to pursue the case regardless of her cooperation. This was known months ago and is somewhat stated in the release yesterday.

Overzealous DA or a DA trying to protect a domestic violence victim...who knows what's truth.

If you re-read Lynch's statement from the other day, very calculated in what he said.

This isn't a good look for Elissa either way.

When I read the headline that the girl had recanted her story, I didn't bother to click and read the entire story. I then commented on a BAMA fan page on FB and said that the gun charges were still going to be hanging around. Some asshat jumps to the conclusion that I was trolling!!! Damn!! I hate our fanbase at times!!!!

If Reuben survives this near-death experience you wonder if he is capable of picking better association.

He's not, trust me. At Alabama, and other schools it's easy to hang around good people because your life is so structured. Just look at his position group at Alabama, Dion-Hamilton, Rashaan Evans, Mack Wilson and all of those guys that keep their noses clean. Very easy to be cool in that kind of company. Get into the NFL with a pocket full of money and folks beating your door down, there is no policing, it's just the decisions you make, and quite frankly, he's never been one to make the best decisions, other than coming to Tuscaloosa. If he can't do it for his young kids, he won't do it.

Got some of that on TideFans. They supposedly value well-rounded thinkers and most over there feel they are overqualified for the job. Some have a lot of passion and history but so does most other forums. They hate rumors and I assume that's the driving force for all the heavy monitoring. But I would say that rebuttal probably bothers them more than rumors. Earl doesn't like SEC rebuttal, period. They are also quick to smother and intimidate most who they feel stray too far off of crimson party lines.

I've tried to comment a number of times, thinking I'll get the hang of this, but each time I gave it a go it just wasn't worth the effort. I don't need a chaperone when I take my wife out for dinner and I don't like the feeling that's what is happening at TideFans everytime I care to talk about my favorite football team.

We will never "really know" the true story... as in any dv situation like divorces, there are many variations of the truth. I remember the Taylor kid from UGA that got bounced, did his time in JUCO and then when Saban offered him, Saban got raspberries from everyone. Then the girlfriend yelled "he hit me" shortly after he enrolled at Bama. He got bounced from Bama and pretty much ended his possible career. A few months late, his "victim" also recanted and said she was just mad at him and knew this would get his attention.
Did she really lie? or did she just realize he had killed his career (and her potential future checks?) who will ever really know. Everyone is so quick to believe the victims stories and in many cases rightfully so. But, seems I remember from high school civics that there should be a presumption of guilt, no wait...maybe not guilt? well, big bad boys always wrong, and ... well, we will never really know. many will always think she was paid off and others that she was just mad or jealous.. maybe a little of both.

At least 2 courts of judgment facing Reuben and ballplayers these days. The legal court system and Roger Goodell. One doesn't always have much to do with the other.

and as i told an auburn fan that was giving me a bit of grief, when i was volunteering at the habitat for humanity restore, "y'all can have the state, we'll take the nation."
Yes... it is the good!
'twasn't bad at all...not at all. I wish they had a little more of a selection. I really like the Newman's crust...and this very well could be the pie was cooked in a friends oven yesterday instead of mine. Who knows? I'm going to stick with the Organic varieties...but the suggestion was well worth it!!!

The video of the the fight between the two females should help with that, somewhat.
