It is still OM. Will never have Bama talent. PG will upgrade the OM Defense but it is well OM.He wouldn’t have mediocre talent for long, PG can recruit

Gotta admit he is a decent back up option if the other primary ones fall through. Although I expect they won't.Strong has been in contact with Saban. Not Saban has been in contact with Strong. There’s a difference.
Not If he gets the job.I believe he runs a different system than Saban.
He's a good up and coming coach. Curious to see what his role will be with Alabama.Report: Alabama to hire Southern Miss defensive coordinator Austin Armstrong to staffReport: Alabama to hire defensive coordinator, former Georgia assistant to staff
ILB is what somebody on here saidHe's a good up and coming coach. Curious to see what his role will be with Alabama.
Maybe, but if Alabama gets Schumann, he's more than likely taking that spot. Hes a guru at coaching ILB's. So maybe he'll coach the Safeties? That's if if we land Schumann, if we get Pruitt or Leonhard, then yeah.... they'll probably be the Safeties coach. I just don't see Schumann not being the ILB coach if he comes here. Plus the DC is usually the ILB coach under Saban. Could change, we'll see.ILB is what somebody on here said
That's something I was thinking about. If we land Schumann, then who's gonna be the ILB's coach? Schumann is a ILB wizard and has been highly successful at producing top players. He seems like he could coach numerous positions and be successful at it(like Dave Aranda). But we haven't landed Schumann yet, so it's currently not a problem. Is W. Keith Friedman like the national sports version of Mark Jennings?
Checked in with someone who is familiar with Austin Armstrong. Summarizing, but they said he's a perfect fit for Saban's staff. Familiar with the system and extremely bright. He's young but already well respected and looked at as a future top program coordinator and eventual head coach.
And yes, he's penciled in with the inside LB's.

Heard anything about Hutzler or Sunseri? Maybe Armstrong could come in and coach OLB's. He's a bright coach, so he'll probably be good at coaching just about any position.Wouldn't get too caught up on the assigned positions yet. Could be some musical chair action within the staff room when the dust settles.

Someone sent me this after they Googled Schumann.
Does Wiki know something or is it just one of their little mistakes?
Good, he's a great coach. Wish we didn't move him off the field.Last I heard Sunseri was likely headed back to OLB depending on hires.... but would be pretty surprised if Hutzler is on the field in '23.
That’s why I put “or is it one of their little mistakes” … the second option. I trust Wikipedia about as much as I trust Oprah. Nonetheless, it’s hilarious some Bama fan thought to insert that into his bio so quickly. It has my Georgia friends in the panic mode. No, anyone can edit a wiki entry.
