🏈 Tyrod Taylor

I'm going to post this and then go back and watch the video.

I'm guessing that I'll see the same thing I've seen in the games I watched last year and a few highlight reels like this one.

He's careless with the ball when he's running. The chances of us getting an INT are good if we look at last years performance. I also think the chances of him fumbling are just as great.

What I saw was him pulling the ball down and running with it if his first read wasnt there. He didnt bother to check off the other recievers either when he threw, just focused on one guy until he got open.

I didnt see alot of teams play to contain him in the pocket or have a spy for the most part. It would seem that the best gameplan would be to contain him in the pocket and wait till he makes mistakes. Well, I suppose thats the MO for all mobile QBs. Dont see it changing for him.

Our LB corps is so good(i really like eryk anders actually, think hes overlooked) I would imagine we can alternate middle linebackers to spy roles effectively, and this would maintain a pass rush. I wouldnt run any kind of blitzes except the occaisional zone and corner blitzes.

My take.

1- VT can't pass block. 90% of those clips show their O-line getting beat. Bama should be able to take advantage of this.

2- TT can move. He has speed and agility.

3- TT carries the ball in a reckless manner. I think this is because he's usually faster than everyone. This will eventually catch up to him. I can see Woodall laying him out on a scramble.

Interesting to see how this one turns out. I still think Bama will win double digits.

I could only stomach about 25% of the video before I stopped it...but IMO I think that if I was a head coach and my starting QB's highlight reel didnt consist of any passes..that could be a problem:headscratch: cant take anything away from his running abilitys though.....but bottom line is this...your QB better be able to throw first and run as a last resort and make good decisions....another Michael Vick IMO....alot of flash but nothing to show for it.

After watching that video everything I read above sums up Tyrod Taylor. Their O-line doesn't look impressive by any means. In many of those clips he is holding the ball out there for somebody to strip. I hope he tries to run the ball and McClain, Hightower or Woodall completely clobber him and show him what a real defense is.

I agree while adding one thing. The defense's in the ACC are really slow. He had all the room in the world to run and I don't see our D letting that happen.

Miami Not that slow of a d last year other then that yes.
I see him busting a few runs on our D but nothing Big.
Our secondary Will confuse the **** out of him and when he make that first step he will meet someone on a delayed blitz.

For one, not an overly impressive O-Line.
two, some very slow and undisciplined defenses (most of the time it said ACC or Big East on the field when it was those defenses).
three, very careless while running with the ball, if he does that against us they will eat his ass up. i would expect Ro and maybe even Hightower spying him most of the game as well.

ha! no i meant we (or as some suggest i should say Bama since i'm not on the team).

i don't think the blocking for the running game is going to be quite what it was last year. i do, however, think this line will end up being as good or better at pass blocking than last years line.

Interesting because I think the opposite. :nana: We'll do fine run blocking but perhaps struggle at times with pass blocking.
