🏈 Tyler Wilson injured...

So why the reason in all the secrecy? So we won't know who to prepare for? Like we're going to change our preparations at all. Wow, Arky really believes we'll fall for their little circus?

There's no secrecy. They were injured last night, and were checked out by the Dr.'s last night and again this morning.

Wilson is a day-to-day right now. His concussion is likely similar to what Jesse suffered. Unless he has lingering issues he'll likely suit up and play Saturday.

Their cornerback is the one with the concussion that's more serious. He's still in LR and being monitored. I'd call him doubtful. The injury to their full back is the one that looks to be the worse. Chances he'll return this season are little to none.

Now, I got that from a phone call at lunch. But, I'd guarantee you if you looked you'd find some official release from their coach or athletic department this morning.

I think maybe Sandra meant why was it taking them so long to put an end to the speculation? For him not to come back out on the field after the half (that I saw), it must have been a fairly serous concussion... and I *think* he got knocked out of a game last year with one as well. Going to be real interesting to see how this is handled, though I suppose we won't really know for sure. He's listed as day to day now, so game time decision I'm sure. Does the spotlight this week land on Arky's team Dr? Or does his opinion even matter on this one? Oh Mr. Fly on the wall....

I don't see any way the spotlight isn't squarely on Smith this week—and these are things after the final gun.

Press conference cut short after the game isn't where it started. I watched the replay today and can see the ULM coach standing at midfield looking for any of the UArk coaches to shake hands with. They were gone, as the team was.

The news/report was issued via a press release this morning.

As to why nothing last night? I'd say getting time for the Dr.'s to actually take a look and see. The facilities at WMS are far from up to date so other they eye tests, I doubt they have any way of knowing anything substantial.

(WMS may be a step above Legion field, but it's a very small step.)

I understand, sort of, the way their fan base is feeling today. But, then again, some of the things I just don't get.

I've seen is said from more than just one irate fan, "screw having morals, let's just get someone who wins." The target of choice happens to be "Bible thumpers—they ran Petrino off."

It has to be a hard pill to swallow.

Terry, the article I read mentioned him staying overnight in Little Rock. Now maybe I'm assuming too much but him not back in game and staying overnight suggests hospital to me.

Well I guess this will be interesting. So is a "hit to the head" a concussion or not? Two things, Jesse Williams had planned to play yet woke up with headaches either Friday or Sat. So he was held out. Tyler Wilson takes one shot by our D and then what happens? I sincerely hope they're (he and his family) are getting good advice. I don't know the details, but it sure seems like a flippant response from UArk.

The team traveled back to Fayetteville Saturday night. Tyler stayed in Little Rock.

Who knows what happens with him during this week. I've only watched the last quarter plus the overtime in that game at this point so I have no clue to what kind of hits he took other than what I've seen on the ESPN networks.

Terry and I talked for over an hour on the phone about all this and other things.

Terry, I found the official statement.

FAYETTEVILLE - The following statement regarding injuries is from University of Arkansas football head coach John L. Smith:

"Tevin Mitchel suffered an injury above the shoulders. He was kept in Little Rock last night and will probably stay again tonight. The testing that has been done on Tevin came back favorable for him to recover. He will continue to be monitored and will be doubtful for Saturday.

Tyler Wilson took a hit to the head and was kept in Little Rock last night for observation. His prognosis is good and he will be day-to-day.

Kody Walker suffered a lower leg injury and is likely out for the season. Kaelon Kelleybrew has a bruised arm and is probable for Saturday's game."

BTW....the best hospital in the state (and one of the best in the country for that matter) is one block from the stadium there in LR. I went to school there and worked in the Level 1 Trauma Center....UAMS....University of Arkansas For Medical Sciences. I think you mentioned Terry about WMS not having the facilities for injuries like RRS. Those kids were in the best hands medically anywhere.

I just don't know about Tyler. Everything is so hush hush with Long up there now. Which is good. However, I expect him to be back for the game Saturday. They will send a plane for those kids and bring them back to Fayetteville. However, I am sick and tired of playing in that dump of a stadium.

We were packed in there for the game Saturday and I was wishing I would have been sitting in my club seats in Fayetteville.

Anywho....

The point I was mentioning was the medical facilities within the stadium. What you're saying fits; he had to be taken somewhere to get a decent opinion on how badly he was injured.

i hope their guys heal up 100% and i dont' wish ill on them at all. like the young lady said earlier, i want them to be full strength when we play them...

that being said.. i can also smell the BBQ vapors. it's gonna be a piggie roastin' good time!:hyper::hyper::hyper:

I caught the tail end of that game. Late in the 4th. What happened to Wilson? Hopefully he is ok. Also, the other players that were hurt.

Even with the injuries, the loss to ULM, and the head coaching garbage, im still worried about this game. Arkansas is a tough team, with a very strong offensive attack. I hate playing Arkansas. Hate it!!!!
