📝 Tulane PG transferring to Bama?

If so, that is huge for us in PG depth. Averaged about 2 3's a game, so that's a little concerning.

Exception of any PG recruits coming to us in the future, by the '14 season we will have only Lacey, Obasahan, Randolph, Cade Johnson, and Cooper. Cade has yet to start.

Hopefully this kid can come in and be a big contributor.

Just to update: after balking at first, Tulane has given Tarrants permission to talk to other schools. The timing would be right: sit out next year and be ready to go after TR graduates. The young man has a reputation as a terrific ball handler in these parts.

Joe, did he play for Grant there at Pleasant Grove or had Grant already retired? If he did play for Grant, the kid will be well disciplined and bring leadership.

He was on the PG team two years ago that was runner up in the 5A tournament. Not sure if Grant was still there or not. I actually know the mom of one of his PG classmates and she said he is a really good kid from a very nice family.

I played against PG back in the day when Coach Grant first started. He always had well disciplined teams and fundamentally sound as well. Later on, when I began coaching, we played them and I guess reunited. I always liked him. He always had his guys playing with class. The Tarrant kid would be a great pick up. I still want a big guy that isn't a 3 year project.

Watching Shannon Hale's tape, I think he'll be a real contributor in his first year. Just depends if he can find rythm and get open shots.

I think Taylor will be sort of like how Pollard was last year. He's a more all-around defensive player than offense.
