🏀 🏆 NCAA Tournament 2021: Alabama (-17) to face Iona, Saturday at 4 ET on TBS

Here's one of those things that doesn't make sense to me.

Hinkle is hosting the games on Friday and Saturday. The teams that advance from Round 1 will move to another location for Round 2. With so much attention being paid towards "bubble isolation" for these teams what sense does it make to move them? I can only assume that's the reason for this change.

I guess this could be related to attendance for each team but not overall; they'll still being playing basketball in Hinkle Sunday and Monday.

That is the deal with this virus from the beginning. We have discussed this at work many times. Hypocrisy best describes it. When it fits the narrative or "agenda" then people and organizations use it, or do not use it, to fit what they want done. Yes the virus is real ( I had it), yes it kills people. (I know people that have died from it). But with this thing being so politicized, and jack-wagons like Cuomo in NY doing crap like what he did, how do we know what the real numbers are of people infected and deaths resulting from it.

i dont know about all that...but i doknow...i am sick of the virus....the protocals...the politics... even....the talk and discussions about it....

To pick up on what Terry mentioned, another aspect to this "being in a bubble" stuff... The teams are going to be confined to their hotels almost exclusively. I'd guess all meals will be brought in and they'll only leave for practices and games. It'll be equal footing for everyone, but there are several guys on Bama's team that put in a lot of extra drill and shooting work outside normal practice hours on their own. If the team had stayed in Tuscaloosa until Thursday, they'd have a chance to get in a lot more of that extra work that has become part of their routine. Now? They'll have to adjust and make the most of the limited time they do have.

Oats is getting paid a lot of money to solve these kinds of problems. I am sure there is a way to get access to someplace that is suitable to shoot and put in extra work.

I'm sure he will explore all options because he is encouraging of guys getting extra work in, especially lots of shots up. And there may be a way, but with the way they have this bubble so tight (from reports), I'm unclear on how much wiggle room there is.
