📡 🏆 CFP Selection Show (and bowls) #1 Bama vs #4 Cincy in the semi's (UM vs UGA)

I see it like this,

Bama 1
Michigan 2
Georgia 3
Cincy 4

Dont look past Cincinnati, they have nothing to lose. Bama wins a 10 point margin. Michigan will give Georgia some issues, but Georgia will win convincingly.
Rematch, Bama vs Georgia. This one will be closer, if we don't have Metchie. Metchie is that good.
I cannot disagree with your reasoning at all. I just don’t see the committee putting Michigan at no. 1

Bully Van de Graaff was the first All-American at Bama. There were four brothers as I recall and three of them were All-Southern conference.

Look up Robert Van de Graaff (nuclear physicist with quite a history.) Look up the Jemison-Van de Graaff Mansion in Tuscaloosa.

That said Kirk and Brandon have known each other around 20 years.

(I guess I should have let @Kirk Van de Graaff answer this...didn't realize he was still on the site.)

Biologically no, in any other way, YES
Do you remember a poster Bama1966?

To be honest I have known you quite a few years too TerryP

The final playoff selection could get very interesting just because of the committee. The obvious is probably the following.
1. Bama
2. Michigan
3. Georgia
4. Cincinnati
However, I would not be surprised to see this.
1. Michigan
2. Bama
3. Georgia
4. Cincinnati
Just to make sure it’s not an all SEC championship game and hope to keep Bama out. We’ll just have to wait and see. RTR

Thats a thought...but....
Hard not to put bama @1 ....
"Youbeat the #1 team...you are the #1 team"

Iowa wasnt at that level....

And i dont think a first round rematch will happen...

And hard to put uga below a Cincinnati....or ND or even Baylor....

Somebody will be a screaming by mid afternoon

I’m just wondering if the committee is thinking best teams, which it should be, or they’re thinking best way to only have one SEC team in NC game. Another way would be:
1. Bama
2. Michigan
3. Cincinnatii
4. Georgia
or they could flip Michigan and Cincinnati just to show they are taking Cincy serious.
I’m thinking whatever happens somebody is going to be screaming my mid afternoon. LOL!!!

Michigan will be #1. It's 35-3 and they just took the ball away again and will probably make it 42-3 by the end. You don't get jumped when you win like that. That means UGA vs Michigan and Bama vs Cincy in the first round.

They jumped to #2 after beating #2. I can see the same for us. Our win was/is way more impressive. Iowa was a joke with no offense, everyone knew that. Wheels fell off, so Michigan's win was expected and not as impressive as scoring over 40 points against the #1 team averaging under 7.

Baylor ain't jumping that far. I would love UGA to be left out but they won't be. But, the times Bama made it without winning the conference were when they did not play in the SECCG. Has anyone who lost their CC game got in?
No, but none of them have been 12-0 and ranked #1. There are not four teams better than UGA. They will be in the playoff.

It wasn't directed at you. LOL. "Don't take them lightly" is my answer to your question. Maybe I should have worded it: "Bama shouldn't take them lightly".
I didn't take it that way and I totally agree with you. Don't take them lightly, don't play down to them and don't give them any hope. Crush them from the start and show them don't belong with the big boys!

I turned on the ESPN's pre-selection show coverage and found a mental gymnastics meet.

Booger: "In Michigan's favor for the #1 spot are the two games Bama should have lost; LSU and Auburn." (sic)
