| FTBL Tragic news involving Siran Stacey

Incredibly sad news. Our prayers go out to Siran and his family.

I am heartened to know that Siran has professed faith in Christ and one can assume that there is a good chance his family are / were Belivers as well.

We struggle with the "whys" in this life. Why do bad things happen to good people, etc? I do not presume to have all the answers, but by faith I believe that anything this side of hell is grace. As hard as this will be for him and his remaining family, I am reminded of this verse:

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. - Romans 8:28

Those deceased believers are at this moment present with Christ. They do not hurt, they are not sad, they are enjoying a joy and fulfillment we cannot imagine.

Truly sorry to hear about this. I know Siran had cleaned up his act over the years, and is beloved by many Bama fans including myself. I will keep this family and the community in my prayers. The coming days, weeks, and months will be a test of unearthly proportions.

Oh my. I can't even imagine. I'm at a lost for words. They are certainly in my prayers. Bless their hearts.

Although Siran is family to all who played with him and cheered for him, lets also not forget to say a prayer for the other person involved family as well. Sounded like he came to live with his mother from Indiana last year. Let's also remember her in our prayers this Thanksgiving as well as the Stacy family.

spoke to a friend today who works at flowers. she said she saw stallings last night. he flew in on his personal plane to see him. classy. as usual.
