To add a note Pirate, the last email I received said he's slowly regaining consciousness but hasn't been told he lost his family yet.

The thought of that moment when he is told...I can't even fathom. God be with him!

My body actually hurt when I read that email.

my heart breaks for him and his family. i cannot even imagine. those poor babies.

some of our children are the same ages and the day of the lsu/bama game their youth football team played ours. i remember being so tickled to see him (when bama was doing well esp.) and being proud that he was with his children at THEIR game instead of bama's.

and this occurred very close to my home.

:(

De says now that the story she heard about Siran dying is not true, and the information she has now is the same as what TerryP has posted.

I've already cried a couple of times today. You think the football season is so bad, and then something like this happens and you can barely even stand. And I don't even know the family!

This puts everything in perspective. My heart is just broken for this family. So many lives snatched up by the irresponsible acts of another.

I pray that him and his family knew Jesus Christ as Savior. If they did they're celebrating with Him now while all we know to do is mourn.

I've seen rumors of both Siran being stable and him passing away. I just pray God's will be done. I also pray that God would please save that baby girl if Siran survives. If he survives and everyone perishes...well, we couldn't even imagine how hard that would be!

to say that Siran knew jesus christ is an understatement. he has become a minister and speaks to youth groups.

when i told my dad about this, he actually broke down, he has spoken to Siran on several different occasions and i havent really ever seen him break down like that other than when my grandmamma died. this is really sad.

Thank you birdman for that.

This LSU fan sends his thoughts and prayers to you guys.
Makes the game we played seem so insignificant.I like to think we are all SEC fans and need to pull for each other in tough times.

:(

This is just absolutely awful. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his daughter. I could not even begin to imagine the time it will take to recover, both physically and mentally for him and his daughter, if they are to survive.

This occured not far from where I live either. All i would like to know..

what was going on with the driver of the truck to make him do that? :?:

Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for Siran and his family. As you celebrate with your families this weekend please say a prayer for Siran and his family. And while you're watching the Iron Bowl this weekend thinking of #27. He needs your help!!! Be it War Eagle or Roll Tide please reach out to him. My Friend, My Brother.... Sincerly Kerry Goode

I'm sure this is like a ton of bricks to the guys that played with him.

hearing something like this is always so sad.

but to have it happen to someone whom i remember watching every saturday just makes it that much more worse.

all good thoughts go to him and his family.

i was informed that when Siran started to regain consciousness today, he was saying things like "i gotta get to football practice"...i guess he has lost some of his memory...how much is yet to be determined...i live in the same town (Geneva) as Siran....i will post any updates that i hear...there is also a local reporter that has pics if you care to see....rickystokesnews.com
