I've just watched this afternoon one of the Escambia high school games of this last season, and even with all the information and highlights around the internet, I'm really shocked with Trent Richardson's ability and his natural talent. Really, I've never seen a runningback with that kind of potential. His rare combination of speed and power is impressive, and he's truly athletic for how he's built. He's got also impressive quickness and he eludes tacklers and weaves his way through traffic. Ruthlessly competitive and takes immense pride in not being tackled by one man; he's a pure bulldozer.
Well, taking into account that we have lost Coffee to the NFL and Ingram and Upchurch mainly are battling some injuries, I think this kid is gonna take the SEC conference by storm!!
The only things that I don't know so much about him is if he's an accomplished pass-catcher out of the backfield and in picking up the blitz. When he signed the LOI, coach Saban commented about the great opportunity in front of him for playing early on his career, and I don't see the day when he dresses in Crimson & White...
