I've just watched this afternoon one of the Escambia high school games of this last season, and even with all the information and highlights around the internet, I'm really shocked with Trent Richardson's ability and his natural talent. Really, I've never seen a runningback with that kind of potential. His rare combination of speed and power is impressive, and he's truly athletic for how he's built. He's got also impressive quickness and he eludes tacklers and weaves his way through traffic. Ruthlessly competitive and takes immense pride in not being tackled by one man; he's a pure bulldozer.

Well, taking into account that we have lost Coffee to the NFL and Ingram and Upchurch mainly are battling some injuries, I think this kid is gonna take the SEC conference by storm!!

The only things that I don't know so much about him is if he's an accomplished pass-catcher out of the backfield and in picking up the blitz. When he signed the LOI, coach Saban commented about the great opportunity in front of him for playing early on his career, and I don't see the day when he dresses in Crimson & White...

RTR,

It's going to be great to see what this kid can do!!!

Im pumped to see what TR can do in the SEC. I haven't ever anticipated a player's career here at Alabama as much as I have with Trent's. Julio comes very close of course but there is something a little more special about a big time running back. Especially when you have a school with this much tradition in the running game and a kid that has this much potential.

RTR,
I sat in those same bleachers some 25 years ago when I lived in P'cola. My brother-inlaw kept talking up this guy named Emmett Smith it was the first round of state playoff's they were playing Tall. Leon who had an incredible RB themselves named Tony Lomax who went on to play DB for the dolphins! Emmett Smith had about 350 all-purpose yards by halftime and didn't play much in the 2nd half...There was scouts all over that stadium that night...If Trent turns out to be half of what I saw that night he will do us proud! RTR!:a:
