News came pouring in early Sunday morning about a fire set to one of the Toomer's Oaks trees following Auburn's win over LSU.
Now, a suspect has been brought into custody, according to a tweet from Auburn University Athletics Director Jay Jacobs.
Auburn Police have confirmed a suspect was detained, sending out a release with the following:
"On September 25, 3016, at approximately 12:15 am, the Auburn Police and Fire Divisions were notified of a fire at Toomerās Corner. Upon arrival, it was determined that one of the Toomerās oak trees, located at the intersection of W. Magnolia Ave and College St. was burning due to the toilet paper being set on fire. AFD units arrived within minutes to extinguish the fire. Witnesses at Toomerās Corner identified a suspect, who was immediately detained and taken into custody by police on an unrelated charge of public intoxication. The suspect is a twenty-nine years old male from Auburn and is not affiliated with Auburn University. He was transported to the Lee County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $500 bond. AU officials are evaluating the damage to the Toomer Oak tree and the case remains under investigation by Auburn Police. Additional charges are anticipated.
