🏀 Tony Mitchell article

From the article:

“The biggest thing is his maturity level,” Ticknor said. “It took awhile for him to trust the coaching staff after the incidents where he kind of got a raw deal at Alabama. Once he found out we were in his corner, I think that made a lot of difference.”

Really? I think Bama got the raw deal, not this thug.

Can't imagine what kind of impact he could have had for us this season. Could have served as a mentor for Pollard too.

Guess some people care more about themselves than the team itself :shake:

Funny thing is that Tony was a solid citizen his first two seasons. Played hard, was coachable. I think the start of his downfall at Bama was his great performance in the pre season tournament in Puerto Rico. He was a regular on Sports Center's Top 10 plays of the day for a while, and seemed to lose interest in team ball at that point.

Not surprising IMO. Kid has legit NBA size and big time athleticism even for the NBA. Honestly, I blame him for his crappy attitude, but you can't convince me that Anonthy Grant's craptastic offensive system didn't contribute to it.

Crappy attitude does not equal thug.. people throw that damn word out about athletes far too often...

Dude was a beast at Bama, sad that he let things get to his head and start acting like an ass.
