“After evaluating where we are at this point of the season offensively, I felt it was in the best interest of the Auburn football program to make this change,” Tuberville said.

I'm looking out for myself cause i think i'm going to get fired.
Poor poor Auburn folks thier 08 and 09 recruiting classes have been recruited for the spread, how are they gonna play smash mouth football with linemen under 250 and running backs under 200. Their whole offensive scheme has been built around speed for the spread. But hey im kind of biased toward the guy, I liked him.
I just don't understand how the Auburn faithful can be happy about losing their revolutionary OC halfway through the season. Their recruiting will suffer offensively, their team will probably resent Tuberville for lying at the PC yesterday, and the spread eagle joke will no longer apply eventually  .

Tell me about it, I'm pretty sure Auburn fans will stand up for Tubs. They'll say "he did what he had to do, it didn't matter that he lied". Oh well, at least we still have McElwain.
