I wish he would do us all a favor and simply stop doing the segment. It is not only disengaging but dishonest as well. Look at Todd Blackledge and tell me if you think he would honestly eat any of the crap he is forced to choak down on camera. He looks like a raw veggie eater if you ask me. But if they must do it, do it during halftime when it would be more appropriate. It is an annoying distraction during the 3rd quarter when football fans are trying to see who is coming out swinging, but are forced to watch this BS. The NCAA is shortening the game on the field and ESPN only adds to time taken away from the fan by ramming this tired segment down our collective throats.

I am also vehemently opposed to Halftime Rock Concerts during Bowl Games and SuperBowls. They almost make me as uncomfortable as Mike Patrick, who I wouldn't mind seeing and hearing less of as well.

For me, other than Dreamland, City Cafe it the icon place that I associate with the UA. Its ages old and has been cheaply fed generations of students.

Is Big Bad Wolves a stand alone resturant or just a catering joint that serves food on the Strip on gameday? I thought there was a BBW in Dempolis??

Only BBQ places in Demopolis I know of is Smokin Jacks.

I can't think of any BBQ joint in Demop other then Smokin Jacks, and I go there for bacon chedder fries and chicken fingers. :lol:

Same here. I hate that they do it during the game. Why not showcase these restaurants during halftime. I want to watch Bama play, not some goof eat.

Personally, I love the segment! Even if the timing of it sux, I think it adds a little local flavor (pun intended) to the broadcast.

Why not celebrate the unique atmosphere and cuisine that are so closely associated with these college towns? I may be a little biased as food is one of my favorite things in life.
