If I were Todd I would step out of the box a little, go with breakfast, and go to the Waysider.

Excellent idea. I've never seen him do breakfast however. Rama Jama/City Cafe also have a great breakfasts. Good eats in Ttown.

Rama Jama's has some of the best sausage gravy I've ever had...beats that of City Cafe's hands down.

I like the idea of RJ's, but more so for what's on the wall than the food.

City Cafe is closed on the weekends.

Are there any upscale places walking distance from the Bryant Museum. We are staying at the hotel next to it.

No. As a matter of fact, there aren't many resturants at all within walking distance of the Museum. I do suggest Hokaido, if you like Japanese Steak Houses, but I wouldn't walk there.

Yea, it's bad enough driving down 15th.

I wish he would do us all a favor and simply stop doing the segment. It is not only disengaging but dishonest as well. Look at Todd Blackledge and tell me if you think he would honestly eat any of the crap he is forced to choak down on camera. He looks like a raw veggie eater if you ask me. But if they must do it, do it during halftime when it would be more appropriate. It is an annoying distraction during the 3rd quarter when football fans are trying to see who is coming out swinging, but are forced to watch this BS. The NCAA is shortening the game on the field and ESPN only adds to time taken away from the fan by ramming this tired segment down our collective throats.

I am also vehemently opposed to Halftime Rock Concerts during Bowl Games and SuperBowls. They almost make me as uncomfortable as Mike Patrick, who I wouldn't mind seeing and hearing less of as well.

The segment takes place at the end of the first quarter when they are trying to cram in all of those commercials. So its no big deal to put the segment in when people are more likely to flip the channel when a commercial is on. Maybe they will see it and visit that business on their next trip to a game. Ease up there Bard.

I think you're wrong about the end of the 1st quarter. It is usually in the third quarter (as you will see Saturday night) and is not used instead of commercials. It is done in two parts. 1st down and second down. We have actually missed plays because of it. For example, the first time we got the ball in the second half against Georgia we missed most of the 3 and out because we were in hurry up offense, as a change of pace, and they were boring us to death with some meat and three. By the time he got the check, we had punted. I love food, I love restaurants and I really like Blackledge. I just don't like it in the middle of a football game. Especially an Alabama game.

Ease up? I am not riled up am I? I am just simply expressing an opinion about the strange marriage of football and food during these broadcasts.

They changed it.
