🏈 Through week 5: Who is college football's biggest disappointment? Who is college football's biggest surprise?

"Follow the bouncing ball." A take off a cartoon/story from 1947 just like Dabo's has his story. It's a good story, both of them are, and it ends there.

I'm tired of Dabo's act. It's an act, pure and simple. Him being a goodball? That's no act. He is.

I like the word facade. He claims his moral high ground on which he can't stand.

I appreciate what he brings to the game of football. I appreciate what Lane Kiffin brought to Bama and to colllege football. On the field. In several ways the two are similar.

Gotta say, you mentioning Todd Bates gave me a good laugh.
It was ur story....you stopped in mid story...i finished it for you...and probably not over...the man is gonna be around for years to come...

Whats a"goodball"....and why cant he stand on his moral character....he preaches it...he lives it...

And agree..he brings a bunch to football...like Kiffin does...

Didnt..dont know anything about Bates..just know name from time at bama...and McCorvey

He's at Clemson. The story ended when he left Bama. Although the team paid for it after he left so, there's an addendum.

Because I know it to be an act. This is not a judgement based on what I've seen on TV, or in interviews. It's a judgement based on what's been witnessed. At Clemson, it's first hand accounts relayed to me. 🤷‍♂️

This "he's a Bama man" has fascinated me for years. It's on the farcical side of observations in my view.

Charley Pell was a "Bama man" and was a large part of putting Florida where they are today. His story ended when he left Bama as well. He certainly wasn't a "decent guy" considering the damage he did to the Florida program. He was looked on a lot like Dabo and in the end, a facade.

Ironically, spent time at Clemson ...

Lol....well..sometimes members of the family stray.....for sure...
As in a lot of families..
...
And ..truely your story ended when he left bama...i just filled in later times..

And if something is relied to you...its not "first hand..." we all know that...

IF someone is there and tells me a story, it's first hand. Relayed was the wrong word to use when thinking "passing on information." That "receiving" part of the definition queers its use. (Since you're going all grammar on me here, queers is a verb.)

I am not one for sure to correct grammer. Ask ANYONE

But thats really second hand if you dont see yourself

But ... whatever

Points all made.

You know my time there makes me a little prejudiced. As ...maybe ...times elsewhere make others the same + 180 degrees

Technically speaking, since we're here, it's first hand evidence, versus my use of first hand knowledge.
