🏈 This weeks rankings: Bama at #1, with two ACC teams in the playoffs?

You know, it just occurred to me. Dammit! Kirby's copying Bama again! Last year, Bama went into a bit of a tailspin with two SEC losses, mostly because of injuries. That's where Jawja is heading now.

Get an original idea, Kirby Dumb!

I imagine, at the end of the 'regular' season, that either ND, or CU, will eliminate the other from contention. Might possibly be two SEC teams in that case, Bama and ATM. I tend to believe that Bama and the Aggies would face off in the Semifinals. Still, four games left to play first. Five for Bama including the 'probable' SECCG for Bama.

ROLL TIDE!

I see the top 4 remaining the same with Clemson winning the ACCCG against ND, putting tOSU and CU at #s 2 and 3 and in the Rose Bowl. Bama and ND at 1 and 4 and in the Sugar Bowl.

Still a lot of football left. Playing and SEC schedule for Bama is not a gimme regular season or SEC championship game. Add Covid on top of it and who knows. #17 missing and now Sanders things like this can create problems just ask Clemson.

Plenty of football left to play but I did hear something I liked the other day from Greeny......His take was that (if Clemson and ND win out) they face off in the ACC championship game, even if it is close...who wants to see two teams play each other three times? Now, I understand it should be the four best teams but I think there would be a better choice for the fourth team instead of the two of them. You know if that were two SEC teams, there is no way this side of hell they would let them play three times.

Don't forget about the PAC (EGAT) 10.... they play that toy bowl schedule of 6 games and want in..... :p..... (EGAT) Everybody Gets a Trophy conference.

I would be floored to see Texas A&M in the Playoffs. I just don't feel they have the team to be there. We wiped the floor with them. Not saying they can't gel and come back from a loss, but with Mond's history of erratic play, I just can't see them being good enough to be a Top 4 team.

Even with the loss, Clemson is a Top 4 team. Alabama has the athletes and depth to be a Top 4 team for the next four years. Ohio State is the class of the North, and has the athletes to be a Top 4 team. Notre Dame has shown they can play against a team with a ton of top recruits and a late track record of winning it all, so they are a Top 4 team to me.

Florida just hasn't shown me they can be dominant on both sides of the ball or a consistency I prefer to see from a Playoff contender.

Oregon, I feel they have a Top 4 team, but we may not really get a good gauge on them due to playing six games against inferior opponents.

My current Top 4, and projected Top 4 at the end of the season, though I would probably switch Notre Dame and Clemson as I feel Clemson is overall the better team, I'll definitely respect the Irish for winning the head to head.

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Notre Dame
4. Clemson

If Clemson and ND wind up at 11-1 with a split in their games, there is no way that both would not be in the CFP. And the CFP would not match them in the Semifinals. The only way they would play a third game would be in the CFPNCG.
