🏈 Things I have learned from Arkansas Message boards today...

I guess our handing their head to them for...what is it now...4 straight years???? Has acted as a deterrent...like some kind of magical "Rid-a-Hawg" or something...But I was browsing their forums and found some interesting things. I don't post on opponent forums - nothing good can come of it and it is a total waste of time.

1. Alabama is overrated. That's right, they admit if they beat us, we weren't that good to begin with.

2. Our offense is terrible ; actually Troy has a better offense than we do.

3. Troy would beat Penn State.

4. We aren't very good based on the fact that we "should have" lost 4 games last year. Actually, if we give them the Arkansas Game, I am going to insist that we take back the Auburn game as a win...so it is still 3. We imploded worse against Arkie than they did against us....and we really should have beaten LSU as well.

5. AJ McCarron is a bad QB.


If i had more time to look, I would probably learn a lot more!

I browse their forums for a good laugh. Here's a few other things you'll run across.

1. The SEC officials will always protect the higher ranked and/or undefeated team.

2. Everyone else cheats except Arkansas.

3. Coach Petrinos offense can't be stopped.

4. They have the best defensive line in the SEC.

5. They're more "battle tested" than Alabama.

6. They're "due".

7. Inbreeding is rampant in Alabama but not in Arkansas.

8. Tyler Wilson is better than Ryan Mallet.

9. Their receivers are the best ever.

10. Troys QB would start just about everywhere in the SEC.

Now now.... Again, you are taking a few Hawg fans and grouping them into a totality ... And as for handing our heads to us, last year was anything but... I remember the respect of the Tide fans at the game.. Amazing how that respect factor showed it's head. Yes... You won, Barely... and yet the respect showed up. I never have fooled myself to believe that we will continually be able to compete head to head with Alabama simply because of the recruiting difficulty. It is much easier to recruit to the loosa than to the Fayettnam...

but we have beaten LSWho 3/4 games... and honestly the only hurdle left is jumping over bama.. this is a mighty huge hurdle, but we are much closer now with the coach we have than the Nutt we had once.

and... Nothing good can come from posting on another teams board? I actually have met some pretty decent folks here, and became interweb friends with a couple. I enjoy the site and am looking forward to hopefully a great game... Just some thoughts... I fully dont expect everyone to agree.. that would be just plain boring.. WPS!

No desire to go to hogsportstalk. I have seen how TerryP has been treated - even though he has been totally respectful he has been called a "Bammy Flamer" and repeatedly reminded to mind his P's and Q's because he is on an Arkansas board. Reverend_Piggy doesn't get insulted and called out over here like that when he throws insults at the locals.

No thanks. I will stay home and do my best to not totally explode at the pig fans who come over. I do have to say that the numbers are down significantly from what they were a few years ago. I got flamed with all guns-a-blazing by your fans on THIS board for my prediction in 2008...turned out that I called the 2008 score perfect to the point. Exactly.

I felt last year would be close, and even thought you guys would jump on us early. I wasn't expecting it to be as bad as it was, but I was expecting it.

This season, I don't see it. Your QB doesn't go through his checks nearly as fast as Mallett did, nor does he have the arm strength to thread the ball at distance against our secondary. He doesn't have the velocity Mallett had. Your OL is not as good as the past two seasons.

To top it off, our defensive players are really angry because of the Arkansas player photoshopped into the pic of the Tuscaloosa Tornado. That was a bad idea...a REALLY bad idea. If a razorpig didn't actually do it, you need to find whoever did and kick the crap out of him.

Ohhh Big...Here we go again. You visited but wouldn't post... Terry was such disrespected... yadda, yadda, yadda.... Terry is class, we often disagree but the guy knows his stuff and has been enjoyable to banter with..
