Obviously, this happens out there from time to time, but these appear to be really, really bad. Some of the video that came out last night and early this am was wild.

Reports of winds around 100 MPH, a water shortage and in some cases no water in some places for the firefighters to work with, and the fires are spreading.

A couple of videos...

Some of the videos leave me a little speechless.

Side thought: A true disaster is happening and you'd think this was a scene from a movie filmed there.

but someone wanted to ban drilling and put windmills everywhere ... which could devastating for the climate.
I never understood that. Drilling into earth increase a chance of earthquakes and other things.. but windmills? I'm confused? Maybe I'm misisng something.

Farcical isn't the right word, but its close. The comment was tongue in cheek, in a sense, but there's absurdity in both sides here.

Choice A: drilling in the Gulf increases the chances of an affect on fault lines which could cause quakes.
Choice B: windmills that affect current, migration, communication...literally changing the climate where species grow.

Look up Landman on YouTube; Billy Bob Thornton's monologue on windmills in Texas.

My gut tells me this is A LOT more worse than it's being reported or hypothesised. I heard an analogy to a post apocalyptic book that was fitting.

Whatever that is flying horizontally through the fire and smoke ... weird.

On top of that, most of the homes that are burning had their insurance cancelled a few months ago. According to the ins companies it was a new rule in California. Now I don’t know what this “rule change” is or if it really was a change. I haven’t had the time or energy to dig.

Fire dept cut 17.6 million!!!!
