Those penalties will devestate their football program by the end of the scholarship limitations. Just remembering what we went through, by the third year their actual numbers on scholarship will likely be in the sixties. Zero room for error in recruiting with being able to sign 15 a year for three years.

I wholeheartedly agree on all the sanctions after reading the official letter.

I am completely surprised that there was no mention of TV appearance bans for events. :headscratch:

I don't think you'll ever see TV bans again. TV bans punish not only the school being banned, but also the teams on their schedule.

I am not taking much satisfaction in this either. Pete Carroll uses USC like toilet paper and once he's through using them, he bolts for greener pastures without having to pay any tangible price. Reggie Bush will still collect his check from the Saints. I don't worry about the coaches there (not hardly) it just bothers me for the players like it did when this happened at Alabama.

I know where you are coming from but it's just hard for me to feel that badly for them. They are still getting a free education at one of the nicer private schools in the country.
