Didn't read the update, but I've seen WAY TOO MANY things around town over the years like that disappear on weekends (and almost always get recovered), and it just turned out to be students. "Hey Conner and Caden, y'all see that bronze elephant outside Mellow Mushroom? That would look awesome beside our TV in the apartment!"

A sad note was that Indiana student getting shot on the strip early Friday morning. Shot by a recent Bama alum. Hopefully alcohol wasn’t involved in aiding the shooters decision making. Sad event in all aspects.
