The Saban statue has finally been cast, and will be officially unveiled on April 16th. Photos of the new Saban statue were released today, showing the public what the statue will finally look like after months of secrecy. Many well documented delays took place during this long process though, mainly because of the disagreements over the approval of the final design of the statue. While it was ultimately decided that the "Pleased Saban" template would be used, here are some of the other leaked templates that were being strongly considered throughout the process...

First, The "Pleased Saban" that was eventually chosen...

Now, on to the rejected statues... starting with, The "Celebratory Saban"...

The "Championship Saban"...

The "Touchdown Saban"...

The "Give it up for my boy Gene Stallings" Saban...

The "Saban Under Center"...

The "Slightly Pissed Saban"...

The "Very Pissed Saban"...

The "Extremely Pissed Saban"...

The "DEFCON 1 Saban"...

I'm very disappointed in the lack of authenticity with the Saban statue. . . . They forgot to include a Little Debbie oatmeal creme pie!

The Athletic Department decided that Saban would be too tempted to eat said Little Debbie oatmeal creme pie, and that we wanted to actually have a coach with teeth.
