Are people missing the point here?
LSU was playing man. Hell, even Joe Kines knew not defend the Air Raid playing man coverage.
It's akin to leaving a steak on the floor and expecting your dogs not to eat. LSU's defense brought the plate and gave it to MSU to serve whatever entree they chose.
There's a reason Pelini didn't do well at Nebraska. It's the same reason he looked bad last night. He hasn't demonstrated the ability to defend offenses based in/on passing attacks. He did well when he was at LSU years ago when the SEC was essentially a downhill running league. Football, and the SEC, isn't the same now as it was 10 years ago.
I just want to be on record here as the biggest Pelini critic
This was further evidence to my thoughts that his defense has been figured out for years. Everyone has the book on how to attack his schemes.
