Maybe someone mentioned it but there is also the optics of this. A UGA WR leaving after a championship win going to Bama after their starting QB announced he was coming back. Gotta be some what's up with that thoughts floating around. Pretty sure those thoughts would have some truth to it. All pointing to UGA having issues attracting offensive playmakers in the long run with their scheme.

You've dipped your toes back into recruiting waters here.

One thing Kirby avoids is a muddied 5 star QB room this fall with Bennett returning. Playing the long game has put UGA in a good position with Arch Manning (whom many believe is leaning to UGA.)

In his efforts to find stability and add a more dynamic approach to the QB position at Georgia he's left other skill positions by the way side. We saw the transfer portal come into play last season when he pulled in a few guys to fill those receiving needs.

If people around college football see this how does a player on the team not see the same thing? He's 'cruitin at the expense of the wide receiver position right now while trying to develop the QB position there (as a whole.)

IMO, Burton is an upgrade from Bolden. He’s not Metchie and he’s not Williams but could do well as the third receiver.

He's not playing the same position: why the comparison?

He can play that (H/Z) role. He's fast enough he could be slid out to run in that Z role.

Who could do the same—play all three receiving roles—on the 2021 offense?

If we look at the skill set that Burton brings to the offense—a proven skill set against the top competition in the SEC—we'll find ourselves hard pressed to find a better replacement for Metchie.

Park Circle. The gentrification of that area is in its 'pre-teen' years. The food in the area is getting to the point of "you won't go wrong." The Junction is nice though in my view it's weather dependent. You can probably find some images of their outside patio. Full bar. Donuts and coffee to a full blown meal. A friend has bragged on their shrimp and grits. I'm thinking I'm getting their "toad in a hole" the next trip through.

I've not been to Early Bird. I've been to Salty Mike's Deck bar so I can speak to the area around Marine Variety. I liked it outside.

30 minutes up I-26 from your hotel: Nexton. Summerville exit (199B) and hang a left next to Taco Boy. You're looking for Poogan's Southern Kitchen.

Nice find, I think I saw 1 in there that was definitely a drop on his part. The rest are mostly highly contested balls where defense made a play or QB was just too far off target. He's got some speed on him, really good at setting up defenders and creating separation at the top of routes also. I'm definitely optimistic that he will be able to fill at least a Metchie size role this year. After looking at him, he doesn't play like Julio or AJ Brown like others have stated. He's got some pretty good hands and separation ability during straight line and top of the route breaks.

That is probably necessary for some that can't get playing time at the 2 deep rotation. To me nothing wrong with that.

If they can't get playing time due to not being in the two deep rotation, then they better hit the books instead of the portal.

I agree with the ones who find another place to play but what about the 50% who don’t and lose their scholarships? That’s the story that’s not hitting home with the tweener players. At least you have a better shot of keeping your scholarship if you’re the third string where you’re at than hitting the portal, losing your scholarship and sitting while no one wants you.

Yeah I am assuming they can drop a level where they will get to play but it will be the wakeup call to make sure they get their degree.
